Happy New Year!
We are so excited about what the Lord is doing in and through our organization. First and foremost, I am so thankful for our incredible board who has been dedicated to our mission and gone above and beyond what a typical board would be expected to do. The truth is, they love our community and are incredible humans!
We finished out The Hope Project for 2024, assisting 24 families and providing Christmas gifts for 60 children. This was our 11th year and was the largest to date. We felt God’s hand in every single piece of the project this year. From Holiday Heroes/Secret Shoppers to financial sponsors, from wrapping paper donations to gifts for moms, from grocery donations to volunteers, and everything in between; God was present and faithful. We are infinitely appreciative for every single contribution, large or small.
As we step into 2025, there are many things to be excited about!
First, we were blessed by Members 1st Federal Credit Union with a grant to launch our monthly food box program! Keep your eyes out for more information. We anticipate a launch in the next few months.
Second, we were gifted a large number of new coats and sweatshirts from a church that had extras from their own Christmas project. It’s pretty cool how God works, isn’t it? With that, we are hosting our very first Coats for the Cold Coat and Toy Giveaway event on January 25th. We are looking for additional coat donations along with new/gently used toys and baby equipment.
Third, we launched an emergency assistance program for individuals or families experiencing acute hardship. You will see more information about that as well.
Fourth, we have secured a giving platform. We are using GiveButter to assist us with gathering and tracking one-time and monthly donations. We will be launching a giving campaign shortly. Every single thing that we do and plan to do in the future depends on support from our community. Each little bit helps. We desire to show our neighbors the love of Jesus by lightening the load for families experiencing or at risk for hardships. Whether it’s a family who has lost an income, a single mother trying to find solid ground, or a new mom with a limited support system, we want to share in the burden and connect people in our community.
In the coming months, you will see a lot more from us as we look forward to connecting more with our community!! Thank you for your
